Riley County Fair Engagement Session | Seattle Wedding Photographers

The Riley County Fair was coming to town. We had the weekend marked on our calendar since April. Not because we wanted to ride the rides or go to the rodeo. But because we were bound and determined to shoot a Riley County fair engagement session. When it came time to actually find a couple who would be available to go to the fair with us, we had just met Jessika and Hadley, who had just booked our single remaining August Saturday for their wedding. We knew Jessika and Hadley’s personalities would be perfect for an engagement session at the fair. At first, it was looking like they weren’t available, but at the last minute the session was on! My absolute favorite part of their engagement session was visiting the cotton candy truck. They were so sweet feeding each other cotton candy – and I’m so glad I stole a shot of Jessika’s engagement ring before the treat turned into a sticky mess in the heat! No trip to the fair is complete without playing at least one game of chance, and we gave the fishing game a try. I had NO idea how tricky it actually was to “hook” one of those plastic fish! It made for really sweet pictures, especially when they finally got one on the line and won a prize. Jessika and Hadley looked like they were having so much fun together, and we couldn’t have been more right in picking them for the fair session! Joe only wishes I had wanted to stay and go on rides afterwards – but I have to be honest, just riding the Ferris Wheel with Jessika and Hadley was enough for me!
