The One Where Jessica and Kevin Say I Do | A Rialto Beach Elopement on the Fourth of July

Mix together an elopement in Olympic National Park, a Friends inspired ceremony, and Fourth of July weekend, and you’ve got just about the best recipe for an awesome wedding we could ever think of! Jessica and Kevin came all the way from Colorado to Washington to have their wedding somewhere outdoors. After brainstorming a number of ideas, they settled on Rialto Beach in Olympic National Park. They said their vows at sunset on the beach, with Friends quotes galore. (Confession: I had never seen friends until last year. I’m sure glad for that Netflix binge now!) Their wedding was so laid back. The group walked down the beach until they declared the spot for the ceremony had been found. Everyone lined up, and a couple FaceTime calls were started, so family who couldn’t make the trip was able to be there. After the ceremony, the sky had just started to light up with sunset, while simultaneously fog started to descend onto the beach. A few cupcakes and a champagne toast later, we all headed to the nearby First Beach for celebratory fireworks. There was already one heck of a party happening at First Beach when we joined in on the fun, and everyone was launching off fireworks for us to photograph. It was an awesome way to cap off an already epic elopement.
