Kent and Downtown Seattle Engagement Session | Seattle Wedding Photographers

When Denise told us she wanted to include her horse, Aranza, in their engagement session, I think I might have started hyperventilating. If you know me, you know I have a huge spot in my heart for horses, and everything horse related, and I had been hoping for quite some time we’d get a chance to include some horses in a session! Denise and AJ’s Kent and downtown Seattle engagement session finally gave us that opportunity! Waking up for a sunrise engagement session had never been easier. We met Denise and AJ at the barn where she boards Aranza in Kent, and walked down to a meadow, talking horsey things all the way. It was an overcast morning, but it wasn’t raining (yet). Aranza was a perfect model, when she wasn’t distracted by early morning runners in neon shirts, and Denise and AJ were so much fun to work with! These two have that kind of relationship that would have you believe they had been together for decades. Just as we decided to head into downtown Seattle for the second part of their engagement session, the rain started. By now, you might know that we actually have quite an affinity for rain during sessions – so of course we had to stop on our walk back to the barn and create some rainy magic! The rest of the session found us strolling around Seattle Center, where the rain didn’t bother us again. Thanks Denise and AJ for helping us cross an item off our photography bucket list! Your October wedding can’t get here soon enough!
