Rebecca & Mike | Winter Waterfall Hike Engagement Photos
Franklin Falls is one of the most loved waterfall hikes along the I-90 cooridor, and that does not change one bit in the winter. We met up with Rebecca and Mike on a Sunday morning, hoping to beat the crowd. The weather was trying to decide whether it was going to rain, or snow, and we had a slippery 2.5 mile hike to the falls. This was the first time we’d hiked the whole trail to Franklin Falls, from the Denny Creek campground. It was a gorgeous, albeit arduous process, but these two were determined to get to the falls with us! We stopped along the way to use that awesome red cabin as a backdrop, and tried to keep from falling waist deep into the snow. Despite the snow, and the rain, and the long hike, Rebecca and Mike just kept having fun together. They practically posed themselves (or maybe they were cuddling to keep warm). But either way they made our jobs pretty darn easy! The falls in the winter are always changing, and the ice that gathers on the rock around the falls is other-worldly. That kind of backdrop makes the whole hike worth it!
