The old adage of, if at first you don’t succeed, try try again comes to mind when looking back on Michelle and Ross’s Topeka engagement session (or should we say sessions?) We met up with Michelle in Ross in Topeka for their session, having raced a thunderstorm the whole way there. It was our first time meeting Michelle and Ross in person, and after only a few minutes of chatting with the two of them we knew they were going to be a blast to work with. Michelle and Ross share that undeniable kind of love for each other that leads you to believe two people have been together their entire lives. We started shooting at the capital building in downtown, battling intermittent patches of rain the entire time, but the results were amazing. Inevitably the storm caught up with us at the Ted Ensly Gardens and there was no chance of an amazing sunset. We decide to give it a second try a week or so later, and meet up in Wamego this time. With a bit of luck on our side the weather decided to cooperate and deliver one heck of a sunset for these two love birds. We had one final trick up our sleeve, as Michelle had requested a special sparkler shot in honor of their 2015 4th of July wedding, and this time with no rain in sight we made it happen!
