Seattle Courthouse Elopement | Pioneer Square and Seattle Municipal Courthouse Wedding
Christina and Colby had a Seattle Courthouse Elopement this winter, and it fit them perfectly. They chose to get married just before Christmas when Seattle and Pioneer Square were trimmed with holiday cheer. Christina and Colby wanted something small and intimate with just their closest friends. They hit the nail on the head! We met them downtown on a beautiful December day. It was cold, but the weather was clear. We all know how surprising that can be. Pioneer Square and Occidental Park are great spots for photos in Seattle. They get even better with the lights and holiday decor every winter season. We couldn’t resist suggesting they do photos there! It worked out flawlessly.
Christina and Colby had made the decision to get married at the Seattle Municipal Courthouse. The Seattle Courthouse is a popular location for weddings and elopements, and we were excited to photograph our first ceremony there. While it is a great location (with a great view) it gets even more special in December. Christina and Colby’s ceremony time was right after sunset. That perfect lineup of sunset and ceremony times only happens in the winter. We were able to photograph sunset photos with them on the roof. The view of Seattle from the roof at the Courthouse is spectacular. The view of Smith tower took center stage. Have a look at the photos and see why couples choose to get married at a courthouse in Seattle! After meeting the Judge (who was incredible) we made our way to a private room with an incredible view of the city lights, 20 minutes of nuptials and “I Do’s” later they were married, and we couldn’t be happier for them!
