In Engagement, Washington

Last week, we took our first trip to Seattle since we officially announced our move to the Pacific Northwest and our transition to becoming Seattle wedding photographers. It was an exciting trip, with an engagement session (or two) planned for every day we were there. We were able to meet with each and every one of our incredible 2015 Seattle brides, shoot in many amazing locations, and check out some of the Seattle wedding venues we’ll be photographing at next year! It rained more than I thought possible while we were in town, but only managed to completely rain out one session. Miraculously, every other time we had a session the clouds parted. I don’t think we could pick one highlight of the trip. We shot on Alki Beach, Pioneer Square,  and Mount Ranier at dusk. We photographed a couple on a row boat at Lake Union, with a horse in a downpour, and in an old Studebaker truck. We hiked through five different parks, and shot on the beach at sunset 3 times. We fell in love with everything western Washington has to offer, and we only missed the sunshine a little bit. In short, we can’t wait for our move in August, or our trips back in January, April, June and July!
